COMMEMORATING BLACK HISTORY MONTH
TRACK YOUR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY FROM FEBRUARY 23rd TO FEBRUARY 29th
Hi-Rez commemorates Black History Month by embarking on a 54-mile challenge representing the march from Selma to the state capital of Montgomery. Over the next week, February 23rd through February 29th, we are issuing a 54-mile challenge to every employee. This can be done by walking, biking, swimming, running, rowing, etc. Donations of $1 per mile tracked, up to 54 miles, will be made to The King Center >> Any and all miles count, even if you can’t reach the 54-mile mark. And of course, you don’t have to stop at 54!
WHY 54 MILES?
“In response, civil rights leaders planned to take their cause directly to Alabama Governor George Wallace on a 54-mile march from Selma to the state capital of Montgomery. Although Wallace ordered state troopers “to use whatever measures are necessary to prevent a march, approximately 600 voting rights advocates set out from the Brown Chapel AME Church on Sunday, March 7…” more >>

Pro Tips — Things to Know:
- The FitnessBank Step Tracker gets user-steps data when the app is open – be sure to open the app often, especially at the end of the challenge
- The FitnessBank Step Tracker leaderboard updates at the end of the day – challenge leaderboards do not reflect day-of activity (for users who opened the app that day)
- Some of the participants will show zero steps because either they have not recently opened the Step Tracker app
- Steps don’t update immediately because Apple Health, Google Fit, and Garmin implement power-save/load management into their programming, which sometimes prevents devices from transferring steps in real-time
- There are 2 FitnessBank apps offered on app stores: one is for mobile banking and the other for tracking steps
